Curator’s Biography
Diana Nemiroff is an independent curator and author. After a distinguished career as curator of contemporary and modern art at the National Gallery of Canada, she directed the Carleton University Art Gallery for several years. Her book Women at the Helm: How Jean Sutherland Boggs, Hsio-yen Shih, and Shirley L. Thompson Changed the National Gallery of Canada (McGill-Queens University Press) has been praised by critics and was short-listed for the Ottawa Book Award in 2022.
