Raymonde April: A Portrait In Time

Quebec photographer Raymonde April is widely recognized for her narrative approach to her art. In this exhibition for the Portrait Gallery, she creates a personal landscape that evokes a tangible sense of place and identity. Her work adopts the linear form of a filmstrip composed of 122 images, punctuated by black screens and quotations from her writings.
